Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has instructed to conduct rapid antigen tests, going door-to-door throughout the state during the special cleanliness campaign.
Mr. Yogi reviewed the unlocked system at a high level meeting at Lok Bhavan here on Friday. He said that on July 10, 11 and 12, during the special sanitation campaign being conducted across the state, rapid antigen tests should be carried out from house to house. He said that this campaign is being carried out with the aim of controlling Kovid-19 and other communicable diseases and creating health awareness.
He said that during this campaign, massive cleanliness and sanitization action should be taken. This will help control the infection. He said that all in-charge ministers should monitor the special cleanliness drive in their respective districts. He said that special cleanliness drive should be conducted in full coordination with other related institutions including the Urban Development Department, Rural Development Department and Panchayati Raj Department. During the campaign effective action of spraying and fogging of anti-larva chemicals should be taken. Water logging should be removed. All arrangements should be ensured on priority for supply of clean drinking water.
Stressing the constant efforts to increase the testing capacity, Mr. Yogi said that the number of rapid antigen tests should be increased. The number of lab technicians should be increased. During the campaign period, effective efforts should be made to check through more than 15 thousand rapid antigen tests. He said that there should be better coordination between the surveillance team and the ambulance service so that the patient can be sent to the hospital immediately for treatment if needed. He has instructed to conduct medical screening, surveillance work and the action of rapid antigen test on mission mode.
