Bihar Lockdown: Locked till 15 May in Bihar, Nitish directed Disaster Management Group to release guidelines today


Because of the ever-increasing corona infection in Bihar, the Nitish government has decided to put a lockdown by May 15. Chief Minister Nitish Kumar himself informed about this by tweeting. Said to have issued a detailed routing guide to the Disaster Management Group.

On Monday, the Patna High Court took a tough stand regarding the increase and treatment of corona infection and asked the Advocate General to speak to the state government and on Tuesday, May 4, tell whether the state will face a lockdown or not. Also said that if the decision is not made today, then the High Court can take tough decisions. This question was asked by the Patna High Court while hearing a PIL filed in connection with the treatment of Corona patients. The High Court said that even after the order, treatment facilities of Corona patients have not been increased. There is no concrete action plan for uninterrupted oxygen supply in the hospitals of the state. Only 160 tonnes of oxygen is being lifted instead of 194 tonnes per day from the central quota. The state did not have an advisory committee, which dealt with this Corona blast, no war room has been set up.

On Monday, 174 people died in Bihar from Corona. 42 died in Patna, while 132 died in other districts of Bihar. However, according to the Health Department, 82 people died during treatment in the state. In Magadha, Bhojpur, and Saran, 59 people lost their lives in Corona. Nine in Gaya, eight each in Siwan and Begusarai, six in Rohtas, five each in Nalanda and Vaishali. Coronas took four each in Bhojpur and Buxar, three in Arwal, two each in Saran, Gopalganj, and Kaimur, and one in Jehanabad.
