Social activist Anna Hazare will be part of the ongoing movement against agricultural laws. He has given an ultimatum to the Central Government regarding the agricultural laws that if there is no concrete decision on the issue of farmers, then from January 30, Delhi will undertake the last hunger strike of its life on the issue of farmers.
Anna said that he has demanded permission to go on fast unto death at Ramlila Maidan. If the fast is not allowed in Ramlila Maidan, then I will start my fast where the place is available.
Anna said that he has written a letter to the Prime Minister but no reply has been received. The government has only been giving assurances on the issue of farmers for the last three years. But trust is no longer trusted. He says that the new agricultural laws are not in line with 'democratic values' and that public participation is necessary for the drafting of the bills.
He said that on 14 December, he had written a letter to Union Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar on the ongoing agitation of various farmers' organizations on Delhi's borders against the three new agricultural laws of the Center and demanded their demands, including the recommendations of MS Swaminathan Committee on Agriculture. If not accepted, he will go on a hunger strike. He has also sought to provide autonomy to the Commission for agricultural costs and prices.
