The total number of infected people increased to 3,0,052 on Tuesday after 644 new cases of Kovid-19 were reported in Odisha. At the same time, after the death of 17 more people, the number of dead increased to 1,5650.
A health department official said that new cases have come from all the 30 districts of the state. Of the total cases, 371 cases have come from segregation centers, and 273 were reported during the search. The highest number of 73 new cases were reported in Khuda ã district. The capital Bhubaneswar is a part of this district. This is followed by 62 from Sundergarh and 59 from the Mayurbhanj district.
The Department of Health and Family Welfare said in a tweet that 17 people died in various hospitals during treatment. Patients died in Sundargarh, Sambalpur, Jagatsinghpur, and Subarnapur districts.
In Odisha, 9,28,000 people are now undergoing treatment while 2,99,159 people have become infection-free. The state has an infection rate of 5.82 percent.
