In Maharashtra, a case of four hundred crore rupees scam has surfaced in the National Health Mission (NHM), the central government scheme. Leader of Opposition in the Assembly and former Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has alleged that there is a 400 crore scam in the name of the job in NHM which should be investigated. Fadnavis has also written a letter to Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray in this regard.

Fadnavis said that the National Health Mission is a central government scheme, but the state government implements it. The state government also appoints employees. Gorakhandha has started across the state in the name of making contractual employees permanent in NHM. To confirm this, Fadnavis has also sent an audio clip to Chief Minister Thackeray. The Leader of the Opposition alleges that there are about 20 thousand candidates in the state, who are being charged one to two and a half lakh rupees for permanent. He said that having a turnover of 400 crores for a permanent job is a serious matter.
