41-year-old right-arm fast bowler Santa Murti of Puducherry holds a record in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy tournament. He has registered a big achievement by taking five wickets in the match played against Mumbai.

With this, Santa Murthy became the oldest bowler to take five wickets in T20 cricket. In this case he shattered the records of Cayenne Tullock of Cayman Island. Tullock took five wickets for 21 runs against St. Lucia in 2006 at the age of 41 years 7 days.

41-year-old 129-day right-arm fast bowler Santa Murthy broke the record by taking five wickets for 20 runs in four overs.

Puducherry defeated Mumbai by six wickets in a Group A match at the Wankhede Stadium. Mumbai were reduced to 94 runs in the 19th over. In response, Puducherry scored the target at the loss of four wickets in 19 overs.
