Kangana demanded damages of two crores from BMC!

Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut has filed a petition in the Bombay High Court demanding compensation of two crore rupees from the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) for the demolition of her office in Mumbai.

She has alleged that her office was demolished because the actress had commented on the leader of Maharashtra's ruling party Shiv Sena. In her petition, Kangana has rejected BMC's claims in which BMC had justified the demolition of the office as per the rules.

It is noteworthy that BMC demolished some parts of Kangana's office on September 9 citing illegal construction. Kangana said in the petition that her lawyer Rizwan Siddiqui had reached the office on September 9 and wanted to give a copy to the officer but the officer had locked the door from inside and continued to demolish the office. Significantly, on September 9, the High Court had banned the demolition of Kangana's office.
