Film director-producer Karan Johar dismissed the allegations of drug abuse at a party held at his home and termed the allegations as "false and baseless". Johar released a lengthy statement on Instagram on Friday, stating that he neither consumes nor promotes narcotics.
The filmmaker has released this statement after a video of the party held at his home in July 2019 on social media. Apart from this, the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) is also investigating the narcotics case related to the death of actor Sushant Singh Rajput.
The video, which was uploaded by Johar on Instagram for the first time last year, saw many people partying, including film stars Deepika Padukone, Ranbir Kapoor, Varun Dhawan, Arjun Kapoor, Malaika Arora, Vicky Kaushal, and Shahid Kapoor. It is alleged that many well-known Bollywood celebrities consumed drugs at that party.
