Chandrashekhar Vaidya, the actor who played King Dasharatha's general secretary Sumantal in Ramayana, passed away this morning due to age-related problems. He was 98 years old.

He was born in Hyderabad in the year 1923, at a very young age, he had come into the film world, due to which he had to leave his studies. Chandrashekhar Vaidya's acting career and personal life were full of struggles. There was a time in his life when he worked as a watchman. Chandrashekhar also participated in the Quit India Movement. After this, he tried his luck in acting and became successful.

Arya Sumant's character played in Ramayana

He also formed the CINTAA Association. He did more than 110 films in his career. Out of which he also directed the film 'Cha Cha Cha' in 1964 and the film 'Street Singer' in 1966. He played the role of Sumant, the general secretary of King Dasharatha in Ramanand Sagar's Ramayana. He gained a lot of popularity from this role. Chandrashekhar was a close friend of Ramanand Sagar. He was the oldest artist in that star cast of Ramayana.

Apart from Chandrashekhar Vaidya, there are many such artists who are no longer in this world. The death of some of these artists was very sad. Actor Shyam Sundar Kalani, who played Sugriva in Ramayana, passed away last year. He was battling cancer for a long time. In Ramanand Sagar's Ramayana, the character of Meghnad was played by Vijay Arora. Due to stomach cancer in the year 2007, he said goodbye to the world at the age of 62.

Mukesh Rawal played the role of Ravana's brother Vibhishan in Ramayana. His death was very sad. In the year 2016, he died after being hit by a train. According to the information, he was battling the shock of his son's death. Even today, the scenes of his gentlemanly acting and giving advice to Shri Ram from time to time are imprisoned in the minds of the people.
