90% of the medicines available are cheaper

Medicines are available at Jan Aushadhi centers 50 to 90 percent cheaper than the average market price. At present there are more than 6,300 Janaushadhi centers in 726 districts across the country. Also you have to earn big fat to open it.

Help from the government

It costs 2.50 lakh rupees to open Janaushdhi Kendra and the government bears all its expenses. There is a 20 percent margin on the sale of medicines from the government. Every month sales are separately 15 percent incentive. The maximum limit of incentive is fixed up to 10 Haj rupees month. This incentive is available until Rs 2.50 lakh is completed.

Who can open Janushadhi center?

The government has created three types of categories to start generic medical stores. Under the first category, any person, unemployed pharmacist, doctor or registered medical practice store can start. Trust, NGO, Private Hospital, Society Self Help Group will get opportunity under the second category. The third category will have agencies nominated by the state governments. It is necessary to have a shop in 120 square feet area. To start the store, 900 medicines will be made available by the government.

How to apply?

To open a store, you should have a license to sell retail drug in the name of Jan Aushadhi Store. The person or agency who wants to open the story can download the form by visiting http://janaushadhi.gov.in/. Applications have to be sent in the name of General Manager (A&F) of Bureau of Forma Public Sector Undertaking of India. If you are applying yourself, then your Aadhaar and Pan Card will be required. If any NGO, pharmacist, doctor, and medical practitioner apply to open Jan Aushadhi Kendra, then they will have to provide Aadhaar, PAN, certificate of making the institution and its registration certificate. To open a dispensary center under PMJAY, you should have at least 120 square feet of space.

How much will you earn?

20 percent of the amount of medicines sold in a month through a generic medical store will be given as commission. In this context, if you also sold 1 lakh rupees in a month, then in that month you will earn 30 thousand rupees.
