Prime Minister Ujjwala Yojana (PMUY) is considered to be the most ambitious and effective plan of the Modi government. This scheme has changed lives of millions of poor women of the country and they have been freed from smoke stove. In return, the PM Modi has received tremendous support from the poor and there are such plans for the BJP's second time to win by bumper seats.
Under Prime Minister Ujjwala Yojana i.e. PMUY, the government gives free connections to domestic LPGs (LPG) to the families living below the poverty line. This scheme was started on May 1, 2016. There is a target to provide 8 million gas connections under PMUY and so far 7 million free LPG connections have been given. The Ujjwala scheme of the central government has given great relief to the families of weaker sections, especially the women. It was launched on May 1, 2016 in Ballia, Uttar Pradesh. In the previous year's budget, it was targeted to 8 million connections, this time the target can be increased.
A complaint from this scheme comes in way that the poor get problems in refill cylinders. It may be that the finance minister make a declaration for this. In fact, under the Prime Minister Ujjwala scheme, families living below the poverty line are given Rs. 1600 for every connection. Gas connection is on the name of the female member of the family. But these poor do not have money to fill the cylinders. That's why gas stoves and cylinders are left in many families. An additional provision of Rs 2 to 3 thousand crores can be made in the budget for gas connections to 100 per cent BPL families. Apart from this, the government is also planning to provide five kilograms of small cylinders so that refill can increase. It has been said in the study of the petroleum ministry that 14.2 kg of gas cylinders are costlier for poor families and therefore a plan for giving gas cylinder of 5 kg is being planned. It will be cheaper to pay it.
The Modi government has been focusing on improving the life situation of women and especially poor women. In the year 2018, the Economic Survey came with a pink cover, which was seen in the form of that Modi Government is sexually sensitious. The poor women have got the highest benefit of all the people of Janhana Yojna, Ujjawala Yojana. Now it is interesting to see what big plans are brought for poor women in the budget. It may also be that this time Modi Government is not a poor, but a big plan for middle class women and house wives. Or a poor scheme can be announced for poor men to improve their employment and quality of life. It is also important to emphasize the employment of the poor, because the benefits of money etc. are being provided to middle class youth.
