Today, the third trading day of the week i.e. on Wednesday, the stock market closed on the red mark after the day's volatility. The Bombay Stock Exchange's flagship index Sensex closed at 51941.64, down 333.93 points (0.64 percent). On the other hand, the Nifty of the National Stock Exchange closed at 15635.35, down 104.75 points, or 0.67 percent. Last week, the BSE 30-share Sensex gained 677.17 points or 1.31 percent.

Talking about the big stocks, today the shares of Power Grid, SBI Life, NTPC, Titan, and Coal India closed on the green mark. On the other hand, shares of Tata Motors, Adani Ports, Shree Cement, L&T, and Reliance closed on the red mark.

Looking at the sectoral index, today all the sectors closed on the red mark. These include financial services, metal banks, private banks, PSU banks, pharma, realty, FMCG, IT, media, and auto.
The market capitalization of seven companies in the top 10 of Sensex increased
Last week, the market capitalization of seven companies in the top 10 of Sensex increased by Rs 1,15,898.82 crore. Reliance Industries was the biggest gainer. Market valuations of Reliance Industries, HDFC Bank, Hindustan Unilever, HDFC, State Bank of India, Bajaj Finance, and Kotak Mahindra Bank rose in the week under review. On the other hand, the market capitalization of Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), Infosys, and ICICI Bank declined.

In early trade, the Sensex opened at 52332.52 with a gain of 56.95 points (0.11 percent). At the same time, the Nifty opened at 15756.30 with a gain of 16.20 points (0.10 percent).
