Today, the fourth trading day of the week i.e. on Thursday, the stock market closed on the green mark after the day's ups and downs. The Bombay Stock Exchange's major index Sensex closed at 52300.47 with a gain of 358.83 points (0.69 percent). On the other hand, the Nifty of the National Stock Exchange closed at 15737.75 with a gain of 102.40 points, or 0.65 percent. Last week, the BSE 30-share Sensex was up 677.17 points or 1.31 percent.

If we look at the sectoral index, today all the sectors except auto closed on the green mark. These include Finance Services, Metal Bank, Private Bank, PSU Bank, Pharma, Realty, FMCG, IT, and Media.

Last week, the market capitalization of seven companies in the top 10 of Sensex increased by Rs 1,15,898.82 crore. Reliance Industries was the biggest gainer. Market valuations of Reliance Industries, HDFC Bank, Hindustan Unilever, HDFC, State Bank of India, Bajaj Finance, and Kotak Mahindra Bank rose in the week under review. On the other hand, the market capitalization of Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), Infosys, and ICICI Bank declined.
