Today, the last trading day of the week i.e. on Friday, the stock market closed on a decline after a day's trading. The Bombay Stock Exchange's flagship index Sensex closed at 52,586.84, down 66.23 points (0.13 percent). On the other hand, the Nifty of the National Stock Exchange closed at 15,763.05, down 15.40 points (0.10 percent). Last week, the BSE 30-share Sensex was down 164.26 points or 0.30 percent.
The market capitalization of six of the top 10 Sensex companies decreased
The market capitalization of six of the top 10 Sensex companies declined by Rs 76,640.54 crore last week. HDFC Bank suffered the most. Reliance Industries ranks first in the list of top 10 companies. It is followed by TCS, HDFC Bank, Infosys, Hindustan Unilever, ICICI Bank, HDFC, SBI, Bajaj Finance, and Kotak Mahindra Bank respectively.
Such was the condition of giant stocks
Talking about the big stocks, after the day's trading, the shares of Sun Pharma, Tech Mahindra, Adani Ports, SBI, and Shree Cement closed on the green mark. On the other hand, SBI, Bajaj Finserv, Bajaj Finance, Hindalco, and UPL closed on the red mark.
Keeping an eye on the sectoral index
If we look at the sectoral index, today's Private Bank, PSU Bank, Finance Service, Bank, and Metal closed on the decline. On the other hand, Pharma, Auto, FMCG, IT, Media, Bank, and Realty closed on the edge.
The market was open on the green mark
The stock market opened on the green mark in early trade. The Sensex opened up 38.86 points (0.07 percent) at the level of 52691.93. The Nifty opened at the level of 15789 with a gain of 10.50 points (0.07 percent).

The stock market closed on the green mark on Thursday after a day's trading. The Sensex closed at 52,653.07 with a gain of 209.36 points (0.40 percent). On the other hand, Nifty closed at 15,778.45 with a jump of 69.05 points (0.44 percent).
