Stock market: Market closed at record level, Sensex beyond 52400, Nifty also jumped

Today, the last trading day of the week i.e. Friday, the stock market closed at a record level. The Bombay Stock Exchange's major index Sensex closed at 52474.76 with a gain of 174.29 points (0.33 percent). On the other hand, the Nifty of the National Stock Exchange closed at 15799.35 with a gain of 61.60 points or 0.39 percent. Last week, the BSE 30-share Sensex was up 677.17 points or 1.31 percent.



Corona cases less than one lakh for the fourth consecutive day

For the fourth consecutive day in the country, less than one lakh daily cases of coronavirus have been registered. After the arrival of 91,702 new cases of corona in the last 24 hours, the total number of positive cases stood at 2,92,74,823. The total number of deaths has gone up to 3,63,079 after 3,403 new deaths. After 1,34,580 new discharges, the total number of discharges stood at 2,77,90,073. The total number of active cases in the country is 11,21,671. This affected the market as there are signs of normalcy soon due to fewer corona cases.


The market jumped on positive global cues

Talking about the global markets, the US Dow Jones gained 19 points on Thursday. Nasdaq closed 109 points stronger. Today Asian markets are also witnessing an increase. SGX Nifty is up 0.19 percent, Taiwan Weighted is up 0.37 percent. Kospi also gained 0.49 percent. Along with this, an increase of 0.31 percent is being seen in Hangsang. However, the Nikkei 225 and Shanghai Composite declined.

Talking about the big stocks, today the shares of Tata Steel, JSW Steel, Coal India, Dr. Reddy, and Hindalco closed on the green mark. On the other hand, shares of Divis Lab, IndusInd Bank, Bajaj Finserv, Axis Bank, and L&T closed on the red mark.

Keeping an eye on the sectoral index

Looking at the sectoral index, today auto, pharma, IT, and metal closed on the green mark. On the other hand, Finance Services, Banks, Private Banks, PSU Banks, realty, FMCG, and Media were on the red mark.

The market was open at the highest level

The Sensex opened at 52528.48 with a gain of 228.01 points (0.55 percent) in early trade. On the other hand, Nifty opened at 15811.00 with a gain of 73.20 points (0.47 percent). This is the highest level of Sensex-Nifty.

Sensex-Nifty closed sharply on Thursday

The stock market closed on the green mark on Thursday after a day's ups and downs. The Sensex closed at 52300.47 with a gain of 358.83 points (0.69 percent). On the other hand, Nifty closed at 15737.75 with a gain of 102.40 points or 0.65 percent.
