Today, the fourth trading day of the week i.e. on Thursday, the stock market closed on the green mark after the day's ups and downs. The Bombay Stock Exchange's flagship index Sensex closed at 52,837.21, up 638.70 points (1.22 percent). On the other hand, the Nifty of the National Stock Exchange closed at 15,824.05 with a gain of 191.95 points, or 1.23 percent. The rise in the global markets has led to a rise in the domestic market today. Talking about the US market, the NASDAQ closed at 14,631.95 with a gain of 0.92 percent, or 133.07 points, in July 21 trading. The European markets saw a tremendous increase on the trading day of July 21. While the London Stock Exchange-affiliated FTCE gained 1.70 percent, France's CAC 1.85 percent and Germany's DAX gained 1.36 percent.

Talking about the big stocks, today the shares of JSW Steel, Tech Mahindra, Bajaj Finance, Tata Steel, and Bharti Airtel closed on the green mark. On the other hand, shares of Hindustan Unilever, Asian Paints, Bajaj Auto, Cipla, and M&M closed on the red mark.

Looking at the sectoral index, today all closed on the green mark. These include IT, Media, Finance Services, Private Banks, Banks, PSUs, Pharma, Auto, Banks, Metals, FMCG, and Realty.
The market capitalization of six of the top 10 companies increased
Last week, the market capitalization of six of the top 10 Sensex companies increased by Rs 69,611.59 crore. Reliance Industries was the biggest gainer. Reliance Industries retained the first position in the list of top 10 companies. It was followed by TCS, HDFC Bank, Infosys, Hindustan Unilever, HDFC, ICICI Bank, State Bank of India, Bajaj Finance, and Kotak Mahindra Bank respectively.

In early trade, the Sensex was up by 366.55 points at 55,565.06 and the Nifty opened at 15,740.90 with a gain of 108.80 points.
