With the continuing increase in the number of coronavirus victims in the country, rapid measures are expected to be taken to deal with it and on the strength of buying in major companies like ONGC, Reliance before the GDP opening figures are released.
The 30-share BSE Sensitive Index Sensex rose from the 4000 mark to the highest level of 40010.17 points. The Sensex opened at 39888.15 points with a gain of more than four hundred and a half points and after that it reached the highest level of 4001.17 points due to buying. During this time it slipped to a low of 3972.59 points. During this period, it has been trading at 3975000 points increasing by 283.26.
The National Stock Exchange (NSE) Nifty opened with a gain of 130 points at 11777.55 points and climbed to a high of 11794.25 points on the strength of buying. However, under selling pressure after this, it landed at a low of 11714.55 points and now it is trading at 11742.70 points with a gain of 95 points. ONGC was the highest in the Sensex, 5.67 percent, Tech Mahindra 2.1 percent and Reliance 1.45 percent.
