Let us tell you that till now in July, the price of petrol has increased for 7 days, then the price of diesel has increased four times. Petrol and diesel prices were increased for 16 days in June 2021. In May also, the prices of petrol and diesel were increased for 16 days. This hike in retail fuel prices started from 4 May 2021. Prior to this, there was no change in the prices of petrol and diesel for 18 consecutive days between elections in 5 states.

This is how the rate of petrol and diesel increases

After adding excise duty, dealer commission and other things to the price of petrol and diesel, its price almost doubles. If the excise duty of the central government and the VAT of the state governments were removed, then the rate of diesel and petrol would have been around Rs 27 a liter, but whether it is the central or the state government, both cannot remove the tax at any cost. Because a major part of the revenue comes from here. This money leads to development.

Prices are fixed every morning

In fact, the prices of petrol and diesel change daily based on the price of crude in the international market along with foreign exchange rates. Oil marketing companies fix the rates of petrol and diesel daily after reviewing the prices. Indian Oil, Bharat Petroleum and Hindustan Petroleum revise the rates of petrol and diesel every day at 6 am.
