Due to softening of crude oil prices in the international market, there was no increase in the prices of petrol and diesel at the domestic level on Wednesday for the 19th consecutive day.
Diesel price was last cut on October 2, while the price of petrol has remained stable for the last 29 days. The price of petrol was last seen on September 22 from 7 to 8 paise per liter.
However, in the international market, the price of crude oil was softened for the fourth consecutive day. The US and Europe are concerned about the demand for the second wave of Corona virus. At the same time, crude oil is softer than the supply of Libya. Brent prices are around $ 42 per barrel.
According to Indian Oil, a leading oil marketing company, petrol in Delhi today stood at Rs 81.06 while diesel remained stable at Rs 70.46 per liter. Petrol in the commercial city of Mumbai stood at Rs 87.74 per liter and diesel at Rs 76.86 per liter.
Petrol in Kolkata remained unchanged at Rs 82.59 per liter and diesel at Rs 73.99 per liter. In Chennai, the price of petrol remained at Rs 84.14 per liter and DJV at Rs 75.99 per liter.
