The ever-increasing prices of petrol and diesel are causing great problems for the countrymen. Government oil companies have increased the prices of both these fuels for the fifth consecutive day today. Due to rising prices, the price of petrol has reached Rs 100 per liter in many cities of the country.
Petrol prices have been increased by 25-30 paise and diesel prices by 35 paise by government fast companies. In Rajasthan's Ganganagar district, now the price of petrol has reached Rs 98.98 a liter. Diesel price per liter here has also gone up to Rs 90.82.
Petrol is being sold at Rs 96.39 and diesel at Rs 86.86 per liter in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh. Petrol 94.93 and diesel 85.70 in Mumbai, which is called the financial capital of the country, is being sold in Bangalore at petrol 91.40 and diesel 83.47 and in Patna petrol 90.84 and diesel 83.95 per liter.
Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan has said in the Rajya Sabha that no tax will be cut by the Central Government on petrol and diesel.
