Jindal Steel & Power Limited (JSPL) 's aggregate consolidated deficit further increased to Rs.76.49 crore in the July-September quarter. The company gave this information in a statement on Friday. The consolidated loss of the company was Rs 399.31 crore in the same quarter of the previous fiscal year 2019-20.
The company said that its total integrated income in the second quarter of the current financial year increased to Rs 9,137.43 crore. It was Rs 7,688.62 crore in the same period last year. In the statement, the company said that the July-September quarter has been good for the entire steel industry in the country. After the lockdown, the atmosphere in the country is normalizing and domestic demand is increasing.
During the period under review, the company's steel production was 18.4 million tonnes on a standalone basis and sales were 19.3 million tonnes. This is the highest production and sales level of the company. The company's exports during this period stood at 7.4 lakh tonnes.
