Gold and silver domestic futures fell on Wednesday morning. On Wednesday morning on the MCX exchange, gold futures of August 5, 2020 fell by 0.23 per cent or Rs 113 to trade at Rs 48,687 per 10 grams.
Significantly, the spot price of gold in the domestic bullion market on Tuesday was Rs 49,228 per 10 grams. On Wednesday morning, the silver futures of September 4, 2020 on MCX was down by 0.29 per cent or Rs 147 to trade at Rs 50,055 per kg.
Talking internationally, the futures price was down by 0.20 per cent or $ 3.60 to trade at $ 1,806.30 an ounce. The global spot price of gold was up 0.01 per cent, or $ 0.11, on Wednesday afternoon at $ 1,794.97 an ounce.
The global silver spot price was currently trading at $ 18.30 an ounce, up 0.15 percent or $ 0.03.
