The price of gold in India (Rs 49,250) has increased since yesterday (Rs 49,260). However, it is down 0.3% from this week's average of Rs 49,410.0.
According to the Good Returns website, today gold prices went up from Rs 52,740 to Rs 53,030, while silver was trading at Rs 58,000 per kg.
In New Delhi, the price of 22 carat gold remained at Rs 48,350 per 10 grams and in Chennai it fell to Rs 47,700. According to the Good Returns website, the rate in Mumbai was Rs 48,250. The price of 24 carat gold in Chennai was Rs 52,040 per 10 grams.
October futures on MCX rose 0.95 percent to Rs 50,133 per 10 grams, while silver December futures were at Rs 60,396 per kg.
24 karat gold in the national capital fell by Rs 194 to Rs 50,449 per 10 grams on Monday amid weak global prices of HDFC Securities.
