Gold prices fell drastically on Tuesday, February 16, while silver prices rose marginally. The price of 10 grams of 22 carat-gold rose to Rs 46,000. According to Good Return, the price of 24-carat gold is Rs 47,000 per 10 grams.
The rate of metal also varies in different cities of the country.
Delhi: The price of 22-carat gold is Rs 46,400 per 10 grams in the national capital. Whereas to buy 10 grams of 24-carat gold, you have to pay 50,620 rupees.
Chennai: For 22-carat gold, you have to pay Rs 44,570 per 10 grams while for 24-carat gold, you have to pay Rs 48,630 per 10 grams.
Kolkata: The price of 22-carat gold in the city is Rs 46,720 per 10 grams, while the price of 24-carat gold is Rs 49,420 per 10 grams.
Mumbai: The price of 22 carat gold in Mumbai is Rs 46,000, while for 24-carat gold you have to pay Rs 47,000.
International gold price
In the international market, gold rose 0.32 percent to $ 1,824.30 an ounce on Tuesday. However, gold has lost 0.24 percent in the last 30 days, which is equivalent to USD 4.30.
Silver rates in metro cities
The metal rates are the same in Delhi, Mumbai, and Kolkata i.e. Rs 69,800 for one kilogram of silver. Whereas, in Chennai and Hyderabad you need Rs 74,600 for this.
