Gold prices in India declined by Rs 110 to Rs 54,760 per 10 grams on Tuesday. On Monday, the price of the yellow metal was Rs 54,870 per 10 grams.
According to Good Returns, 22-carat gold is priced at Rs 50,200 in New Delhi, while it costs Rs 50,300 in Mumbai and Rs 49,340 in Chennai. On the other hand, 24-carat gold is priced at Rs 54,760 in New Delhi, while it costs Rs 51,300 in Mumbai and Rs 53,820 in Chennai.
In Kolkata, 22 carat and 24-carat prices are Rs 50,730 and Rs 53,430, while in Bangalore the rates are Rs 48,950 and Rs 53,400. The price of 22 carat gold in Ahmedabad is Rs 50,300, while the price of 24 carats is Rs 53,700.
Gold futures on the Multi-Commodity Exchange (MCX) declined 2.4 percent to Rs 50,471 per 10 grams. On MCX, silver and futures stood at Rs 61,316 per kg.
On the international level, gold prices fell by three percent on Monday, which was more than a month low. Spot gold also fell 3.2 percent to $ 1,887.26 an ounce.
