New Delhi, Business Desk. Gold and silver prices are falling on Tuesday. Domestic and global prices of both these precious metals have seen a fall on Tuesday morning. On the MCX exchange, gold futures of August 5, 2020, fell by Rs 60 to Rs 47,078 per 10 grams on Tuesday morning at 10.30 am. Apart from this, on Tuesday morning on October 5, gold futures on MCX were down by 0.04 percent or Rs 19 to Rs 47,248 per 10 grams. At the same time, gold futures on June 5, 2020, was trading at Rs 47,074 per 10 grams on MCX on Tuesday morning, down 0.02 percent or Rs 9.
Along with gold, the price of silver has also fallen on Tuesday morning. On Tuesday morning on MCX, silver futures of July 3, 2020, we're down by 0.36 percent or Rs 183 to trade at Rs 50,428 per kg.
Talking about the global level, both gold futures and spot prices have seen a decline on Tuesday morning. According to Bloomberg, on Tuesday morning, the global futures price of gold was down by 0.09 percent, or $ 1.50, at $ 1748.80 an ounce. At the same time, the global spot price of gold was down by 0.16 percent or $ 2.79 to trade at $ 1,736.76 an ounce.
Globally, silver also witnessed a fall in both futures and spot prices on Tuesday morning. On Tuesday morning, the global spot silver prices fell by 0.65 percent or $ 0.12 to trade at $ 18.18 an ounce. At the same time, the global futures price of silver was down by 0.57 percent or $ 0.11 on Comex on Tuesday morning at $ 18.72 an ounce.
