Gold prices in India declined on Wednesday at the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX). Silver prices also fell by 1 percent.
Today 10 grams of 22-carat gold is priced at Rs 49,950 while 10 grams of 24-carat gold can be priced at Rs 50,950. Good returns have eluded these prices from the country's reputed jewelers.
Internationally spot gold fell 0.6 percent to $ 1,896.44 an ounce, up from 1 percent previously. US gold futures fell 0.7 percent to $ 1,897.10.
The fall in the price of gold was seen today in Mumbai. The price of 22-carat gold is Rs 49,950 per 10 grams and the price of 24-carat gold is Rs 50,950 per 10 grams.
The price of 22-carat gold in Chennai is Rs 47,700 per 10 grams. For buying 10 grams of 24-carat gold, you have to pay Rs 52,030 in Chennai.
There is no major fluctuation in the price of gold in Kolkata today. The price of 22-carat gold is Rs 49,750 per 10 grams and 24-carat gold costs Rs 52,950 per 10 grams.
The price of gold has increased in India's capital Delhi. In Delhi, 22-carat gold can be purchased for Rs 49,300 and 24 carat gold for Rs 52,780.
