Prices increased in these states
From today, the government of Maharashtra, Jammu, and Kashmir, Himachal, and Mizoram have increased VAT on oil, after which the rates have increased here. From today, the price of diesel has increased from Rs 60.49 to Rs 62 per liter in Mizoram and the price of petrol has increased from Rs 66.54 to Rs 69.87 per liter.
In Maharashtra, the price of petrol and diesel has increased by two rupees. Today, the price of petrol in Mumbai has become Rs 78.31. At the same time, the price of diesel has increased from Rs 65.62 to Rs 68.21. The state government on Saturday reduced the cess on petrol from Rs 8.12 to Rs 10.12 per liter.
In Jammu and Kashmir, the price of petrol has been increased by two rupees and diesel by one rupee from June 1. After this increase, a liter of petrol in Jammu and Kashmir has been priced at Rs 75.87 and diesel price of Rs 67.15. Himachal Pradesh government has also increased VAT on diesel and petrol. Earlier, the Government of Delhi, Chennai, Nagaland, Assam, and Meghalaya have also taken this step.
Price is so high in major metros
Today, the price of one liter of petrol in Delhi, Kolkata, and Chennai is 71.26, 76.31, and 75.54 per liter respectively. Talking about diesel, its prices in these metros are 69.39, 66.21, and 68.22 respectively.
