Banks will be closed for a total of 11 days in March. This includes four Sundays and two second Saturdays.
Banks will be closed on March 5, 11, 22, 29, and 30 as per RBI. Bank customers planning a trip to their respective banks in March are advised to plan their trip according to the bank holidays.
These days where bank branches will remain closed, mobile and internet banking will remain functional as usual. Customers can conduct transactions through online mode.

Meanwhile, banks may also remain closed in mid-March as several bank unions have called for a nationwide strike against the government's plan to privatize the banking sector. The two-day strike will be observed on 15 and 16 March.
