Delivery of some goods from Amazon by sky route is going to become reality soon. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) said on Monday that it has allowed Amazon to deliver packages with drones.
Amazon said that this permission is an important step. But at the same time, they added that they are still doing drone flight and other tests. The company did not say how long it would start delivering the drone to customers.
The e-commerce giant has been working on the supply of goods through drones for many years. But it has faced several regulatory hurdles. Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos said in a TV interview in 2013 that the company would begin delivering drones to customers in five years.
