Toyota India has launched the Toyota Urban Cruiser (Toyota Urban Cruiser) subcompact SUV in India. The company has launched the car in three variants Mid, High, Premium. All three variants come in manual and automatic transmission. The price of the manual transmission of the mid variant is Rs 8.40 lakh and the price of an automatic transmission is Rs 9.80 lakh. This SUV will compete with Sonnet, Mahindra XUV 300, and Hyundai Venue. The company has said that people can book it for only 11 thousand rupees. Through the Urban Cruiser, the company is going to touch a segment where the demand for SUVs is good.
The new Toyota Urban Cruiser SUV has priced at Rs 8.40 lakh (ex-showroom). For customers who have pre-booked it, Toyota will give the customers the Respect Package. This is a copy of Maruti's Vitara brezza. Toyota partnered with Suzuki in March 2018. The two companies had entered into a basic agreement to supply each other Hybrid and other vehicles in the Indian market. Under this agreement, Toyota took the Baleno from Maruti and made some changes in its design and sold it as its glass.
The company has given a 1.5 liter K15B petrol engine in its new SUV. It generates 138 Nm torque with 103 bhp. It has a 5-speed manual and four-speed automatic unit. Apart from this, this SUV will get LED headlamps, LED fog lights, LED tail lights, 16 'diamond-cut alloy wheels, and many other features. The interior of the car has a 7 'touchscreen infotainment system. The car also has steering mounted controls with a dual-tone interior theme.
