MG lifts the curtain from MG6 XPower, this car will be equipped with these features with a plug-in hybrid

MG recently released some teaser images of the MG6 XPower. It is a sports car based on the MG6 sedan that is available for sale in multiple markets. According to the company, this is the first production version under the MG XPower concept. The MG6 X Power sports car has been given the same power as the MG XPower, the Ford-sourced V8 engine was given in the MG XPower which was sold between 2001 and 2005. But now that Chinese automaker MG is once again focusing on sedans (sports cars) back after years, the company had earlier this year introduced a glimpse of the two-seater Cyberster concept and said that the company will take it into production by 2023. and now with the MG6 XPower, the company is all set to expand its sports car range.


Exterior: The teaser image released by the company shows that the MG6 XPower has been introduced with an ultra-wide body design and aerodynamic body kit. It gets a main hexagonal radiator grille with vertical slats and the MG logo. The grille is flanked by LED headlamps with LED DRLs at the top and the front stripe looks quite aggressive apart from the sculpted bumper, large air intake, and carbon fiber front splitter. The vents on the bonnet add to the aesthetics of the MG6 Xpower's profile. Coming to the rear of the MG6 Xpower, the taillights have a distinctive 'X' shape, while the carbon fiber rear spoiler, double pneumatic diffuser, and sporty alloy wheels add to the overall aesthetics of the car.


Interior: The sporty design theme has been carried forward in the interiors as well where one can see the contrast stitching with green and gray highlights. The company has used Suede Material for the inner door panels, while the three-spoke steering wheel gets a leather look. Customizable with the 'X' logo, sports seats, center armrest, and door sill. The sports car will get all the latest features like a fully digital TFT instrument cluster, large touchscreen infotainment system, multiple driving modes, automatic AC.


Engine: The MG6 Xpower is powered by a 1.5-liter turbocharged petrol engine. It comes with a plug-in hybrid powertrain that is capable of producing 301 bhp power and 480 Nm of peak torque, which will enable the sports car to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 6 seconds. The engine is mated to a 10-speed EDU10-speed EDU Intelligent Electric Drive gearbox, which provides high transmission efficiency along with fast gear shifts. The specialty of this car is that by applying the brakes from a distance of 33 meters, this car can stop the car at a speed of 100 km.
