Mahindra Thar's 6,500 units booked in December; best response despite long waiting period

The recently launched second-generation Mahindra Thar is receiving tremendous response from Indians. Since its launch, Mahindra Thar has managed to maintain its dominance in the market. Let us tell you that Thar has received 6,500 bookings in December. Demand for this SUV is continuously increasing as well as its waiting period is also increasing as production has decreased due to Kovid-19. As a result, customers will now have to wait to buy this off-road SUV.

Mahindra Thar has priced between Rs 11.90 lakh to Rs 13.75 lakh (ex-showroom). The automaker had to discontinue the entry-level AX (starting from 9.80 lakh) models, following heavy demand since the launch of Thar in November. Mahindra Thar recorded 6,500 new bookings in December 2020, of which 50% has been booked for the automatic variant LX. There is a significant demand for LX after the discontinuation of the standard AX variant of Mahindra Thar. Even though the current waiting period for Mahindra Thar has been over 9 months, the offroading enthusiasts do not see a difference and they are constantly booking it.

Recently, Mahindra Thar has been given a 4-star rating by Global NCAP in a crash test, a 4-star rating for both adults and children in this crash test. Thar has no answer in terms of safety and it makes your journey much safer.
