Japan's automaker Honda has officially released the first photo of the new Honda Civic. Let me tell you, the company revealed the Civic prototype in November 2020. Which will be presented on 29 April. The teaser image released by the company at the moment confirms that the new Civic largely matches its prototype.
The 2022 Honda Civic will go on sale in the United States, with the first production in Canada. The company plans to introduce this car through the "Honda Civic Tour" 2022. The new generation Civic is largely similar to the prototype. It shows the signature styling of the company. A wide and horizontal LED headlamps are provided on the upfront, with integrated LED DRLS and grille matching the body color of the car.
The front design of this car is inspired by the new generation HR-V. It comes with a new front bumper that features a black body fog lamp housing. The rear gets a simple LED tail-lamp, a new bumper, and a new tailgate. Talking about the interior of the new Civic, it will include many such features which will be the first time in the segment. According to the report, it includes an all-digital driver meter cluster and a new 9-inch full-HD free-standing touchscreen infotainment system. The leaked photos reveal that the new Civic will come with a panoramic sunroof.
The sedan will include an upgraded suite of Honda Sensing Safety and Driver-Assistive Technology and several new airbags. The new Civic will get a 1.5-liter 4-cylinder turbocharged petrol, which generates a maximum power output of 174bhp and peak torque of 220Nm. Both manual and automatic gearbox options will be on offer with this engine.
