Mahindra Thar

The new-generation 2020 Thar of Mahindra and Mahindra is set to launch in the Indian market. The company introduced its new off-roading vehicle in India on 15 August, but its booking and prices are to be announced on 2 October 2020. The new-generation Mahindra Thar will be available in two engines in the Indian market. In this, customers will get a 2.2-liter mHawk diesel engine with BS6 compliant and a 2.0-liter turbocharged mStallion petrol engine.


The CJ3A was Mahindra's first vehicle. The company launched it in the year 1949. Its car design is found in all the basic models of Thar. At the time, it was an off-roader inspired by a jeep. This vehicle became popular in India as soon as it was launched. In fact, at that time, roads in almost all areas of the country were in bad shape, due to which its off-roading feature became a boon for the people. This car was also seen in many Bollywood films.


In 2010, the company launched the new-generation Thar. It was the company's most different vehicle in this series, with the most changes in its design. It was re-branded by the company, which was well received by the customers. It competed only with the Maruti Gypsy in the Indian market. However, one of the biggest features of the Maruti Gypsy was its petrol engine. However, the Mahindra Thar was only available in the diesel car. The company further improved the safety features of Thar in the year 2015. After this, in the year 2019, the company launched the Thar 700 edition in India. If we look at the meaning of Thar, it is a small dry plain situated in Pakistan Punjab in the middle of a triangle formed by the Jhelum and Indus rivers and the Saline ranges, it is called the Thar desert. That is a desert in the west of India adjoining North-East Pakistan.

Royal Enfield Himalayan

Royal Enfield Himalayan (Royal Enfield Himalayan) is the only off-roader motorcycle of Royal Enfield. This bike is fond of adventure travel in the mountains. The Indian adventure touring motorcycle Himalayan was first showcased by Royal Enfield in February 2015 and was launched in early 2016. The company has updated it with the BS6 engine. Royal Enfield Himalayan is a commuter bike and is available in 3 variants in India.

Royal Enfield Himalayan generates 24.3 bhp power and 32 Nm of torque from its 411cc engine. The Himalayan single-cylinder engine has a 5-speed manual gearbox. Along with both rear and front disc brakes, the top variants of the Royal Enfield Himalayan also feature an anti-locking braking system. This 199 kg bike is available in 6 colors. The price of its base model starts at Rs 1,89,738 (ex-showroom) and the price of the top model goes up to Rs 1,94,327 (ex-showroom).

Dc Avanti

This is the first Made in India supercar. It was first introduced at the 2012 Auto Expo. It is made by DC Design, a company of famous car designer Dilip Chhabria. The car has a 2.0-liter four-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine. The engine is mated to a 6-speed manual transmission. The word Avanti means a city of Malwa under Madhya Pradesh, nowadays called Ujjain. There is also another meaning - a famous city which was on the banks of the Shipra River and which is counted among the seven main Puris or Tirthas.

Bajaj Chetak

Bajaj started production of this famous scooter in 1972 and was manufactured by 2006. The scooter's Chetak was named after Chetak, the horse of the great warrior Maharana Prataka. This scooter was used in Indian families for a long time and its 'Hamara Bajaj' advertisement was very well received. However, the company has launched an e-scooter named Chetak Electric to revive the Chetak brand.

Bajaj Vikrant

Bajaj named this bike after India's first aircraft carrier INS 'Vikrant'. The company says that this bike is made from the steel of INS Vikrant. It used to come in two engines of 125 cc and 150 cc. Now the company has stopped its production. The word Vikrant means Powerful.
