Different types of news have been coming about FASTag in India for a long time, some people are worried about buying it, while some are looking for ways to recharge it. However, the government has provided every type of facility on the portal. While moving in this direction, now the provision of keeping the minimum amount from Fastag account has been removed. The National Highways Authority of India said that the requirement to maintain minimum amount in Fastag wallet is being removed. The move aims to ease the movement of electronic toll plazas.
What is the reason: When buying Fastag, some amount of security was kept in the account for passenger vehicles like cars, jeeps, vans etc. While passing on the toll plaza, if the vehicle owner does not have recharge in addition to the security in the fastag, then he had to face trouble on the toll. Because of which there used to be long queues there. Which will now be easy. After crossing the toll plaza, if there is a negative balance in your account, the bank can recover the security amount, which will have to be replenished by the vehicle owner at the time of next recharge.
FASTag will be necessary from February 15: Let us tell you that Fastag has contributed 80 percent to the total toll collection with more than 2.54 crore users. The daily toll collection through Fastag has crossed Rs 89 crore. From 15 February 2021 at present, payment at toll plazas through Fstag will become mandatory. Because the National Highways Authority of India is aiming to get 100 percent cashless toll at toll plazas across the country.
