Citron recently debuted in India with its first premium mid-size SUV, the Citroen C5 Aircross. After which the company is now preparing to launch its affordable and locally manufactured sub-compact SUV. According to the report, Citron will introduce the new SUV in May. However, this car has been seen many times during testing on Indian roads. But some specific information about its design has not been revealed.
It is believed that the new Citroen SUV will push other vehicles in its segment into the looks, furthering the company's traditional design. At the moment, the only glimpse of the interior has seen a floating central display for the infotainment system. In its design, the company can feature LED lighting, connected car technology, a great touchscreen infotainment system, auto AC, rear parking camera, and alloy wheels. Apart from this, many airbags with traction control, stability control will be given in their list of safety features.
Siren had confirmed some time ago that she would only offer her upcoming SUV with a petrol engine. According to the report, the company can use a 1.2-liter turbo-petrol unit in it. However, it is too early to say anything about its transmission options or performance output. The company may first introduce its sub-compact SUV in markets such as India and South America, but delays could be seen due to the Corona epidemic.
Talking about the price, its price in India will start from Rs 6 lakh ex-showroom. Launched in India as a premium sub-compact offering, Nissan will compete with Magnate, Renault Kiger, Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonnet, Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza, and Tata Nexon.
