Citroen launches its first premium SUV C5 Aircross in India, can also bring home EMI on monthly EMI with a single-engine option


French auto major Citroën has finally launched its much-awaited flagship SUV C5 Aircross in India, equipped with a very attractive look and powerful power, the car has been priced at Rs. 29.90 lakh, which is its base variant. At the same time, the price of its top-end spec shine variant has been kept at -31.90 lakh rupees. If you want to book this car, bookings have already been started online and through the brand's La Maison dealership in the amount of 50,000.

Talking about the design, this SUV gets a bold design, it has panoramic sunroofs in the top-end variant Shine with LED headlamps and taillights, which are missing in its feel variants. The company claims that vehicle manufacturers in India do not talk about the comfort level of the driver and the people traveling in it, but the Citroen C5 Aircross takes special care of this.

For power sources, the Citroen C5 Aircross gets a 2.0-liter four-cylinder turbocharged diesel engine equipped with 8-speed automatic transmission. This engine gives power to the front wheel, while this powertrain gets 177 bhp power and 400 Nm of torque. Citroen claims that the C5 Aircross is capable of delivering a mileage of 18.6 kmpl.

The car will compete with Volkswagen Tiguan in India as well as vehicles such as the Jeep Compass and Hyundai Tucson. The company has made it available in two variants - Feel and Shine. Which will be sold as a CKD unit in India. The local assembling of this SUV has already started at the CK Birla plant in Thiruvallur, Tamil Nadu, India.
