BMW Motorrad India today launched its new powerful bike BMW R 18 Classic cruiser in the market. The company is bringing this bike to India through the Complete Built Unit (CBU) route. The starting price of this bike has been fixed at Rs 24 lakh (ex-showroom) in India. GST is included in its price.
During the launch of this bike in the market, President of BMW Group India, Vikram Pava said, “BMW has made a banging entry in the cruiser segment with BMW R 18. After the success and popularity of BMW's first cruiser in India, we now offer the BMW R 18 Classic as an iconic character. "
The Cruiser will be imported into India through the CBU (Completely Built Unit). Delivery of bikes will also be started soon.
In the R18 Classic cruiser, you get three ride modes, Rain, Roll, and Rock. All modes have their own features, such as the bike will not slide in Rail mode, it will run fiercely on the road. While the bike engine will give more power in the roll mode, on the road it will give you an ideal performance. In Rock mode, you will feel more power in the bike.
The BMW R 18 Classic is very attractive in appearance and features a number of advanced features including a large windscreen, passenger seat, saddlebag, LED additional headlights, 16-inch front wheel, and larger engine. In this bike, the company has used an engine of 1,802 cc which generates a power of 91 bhp and torque of 158 Nm.
This bike has a rear-wheel hoop, anti-hopping clutch, 6-speed transmission gearbox as well as a reverse gear. As a safety feature, features like dynamic engine brake control, automatic stability control, keyless ignition, hill start system, electronic cruise control have been given as standard in this bike.
