The Rajasthan government has directed vehicle manufacturers to give helmets to two-wheeler buyers in the state for free. State Transport Minister Pratap Singh Khachariwas said buyers will be given a helmet-free from April 1 on purchase of each two-wheeler. The state government has made it mandatory for manufacturing companies.
The minister held a meeting with automobile dealers and officials of the transport department in this regard. "Preventing death due to road accidents is the priority of the state government," Khachariwas said.
