Hyundai India has announced that its new Creta SUV has broken all booking records. Even Creta has outpaced Kia Celtos and MG Hector. New Generation Creta has crossed the 1,15,000 units booking mark.


Creta sales 12,300 units in September

Hyundai launched its new generation Creta in March this year. At the same time, Creta has also taken Hyundai's SUV segment to a new high. Hyundai's market share in the SUV segment has risen to 26 percent from January to September 2020. Creta sold 12,300 units in September, the highest. In August, Creta sold 11,758 units. The second number is followed by Celtos.

Creta's name has helped Hyundai strengthen its hold in the Indian market. Hyundai has so far sold 5.2 lakh units of Creta. This means that every five minutes a Creta has been sold in the last five years.

According to the figures Hyundai has presented, the diesel variant of Creta is the first choice of the people and its ratio is 60:40. At the same time, the company has also revealed that Creta is the most searched car on its digital sales platform Click to Buy. In Creta 2020, the company has introduced a connecting technology under the name BlueLink, which has had 25,000 registered bookings.

The new Creta comes in five variants E, EX, S, SX, and SX (O). At the same time, it has been launched in both petrol and diesel engines. Talking about its dimensions, its length is 4300 mm, 1635 height, and 1790 mm in width. It has a wheelbase of 2610 mm and has a boot capacity of 433 liters. Recently, Hyundai has also raised prices of the Creta range. After raising the price of its EX variant by Rs 62000, it has become Rs 9.99 lakh. At the same time, the company has also included the new base petrol variant E.

7-speed dual-clutch transmission variant is quite popular

The company says that Creta's 1.4-liter Kappa Turbo GDi petrol engine, which comes with a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission, is quite popular. There are also Wonder Warranty options with the Creta, which offer a 3-year / unlimited km or 4-year / 60000 km or 5-year / 50000 km option.
