2021 Skoda Kodiaq: Skoda's premium SUV introduced in a new avatar, this special feature is available with minor changes


Czech automaker Skoda has introduced a facelift version of its Kodiak SUV. This car was first introduced globally in 2016. After which it was launched in India for the first time in 2017. For information, let us know that after four years of living in India, Kodiak has now been updated mid-life refresh. Let us explain in detail some specific information about the new Kodiaq:

Minor design changes: Although the company has not made any significant changes except for the inclusion of a Scout edition in it, its design only gets a glimpse of the current model. Talking about the change of the new Skoda Kodiaq, it has a double ribs signature grille with sleek LED headlamps, while this time the SUV also has the option of Matrix LED headlamps. Other changes include new foglamps with redesigned aprons and a front bumper with minor tweaks.

The new Kodiaq features a gloss black roof-mounted spoiler, a new rear bumper with aluminum trim, and C-shaped signature fully LED taillights. Unlike the previous model, it gets new alloy wheels ranging from 17 inches to 20 inches. The Skoda Kodiaq facelift sports the same interior layout as before, but now it has the option of leather seats with ventilation and massage function. Other new features of this SUV include a new two-spoke steering wheel, a 9.2-inch touchscreen system, a 10.25-inch fully digital instrument cluster, radar-based rear sensors, and more.

Three engine options: The new Kodiak is available with two petrol engines with 1.5-liter TSI and 2.0-liter TSI with a 2.0-liter TDI diesel powerplant. Its 2.0-liter TSI unit is capable of generating 188 Bhp of power and 320 Nm of torque. While the 1.5-liter unit produces 148 Bhp of power and 250 Nm of peak torque. On the other hand, the diesel engine is equipped with 148 Bhp and 197 Bhp power. All engines have been introduced by the company with a seven-speed DSG AMT.

Note: At present, the company has not confirmed the launch of this car (Kodiaq) in India, but it is believed that it will be launched in the country by the end of this year. Which will cost more than 30 lakhs.
