Try these Ayurvedic remedies to get rid of the fever!

 

There are three doshas in everyone's body: Vata, Pitta, and Kapha. Any imbalance in these three doshas can lead to disease. Jwara Roga is the Ayurvedic name for fever. It mainly arises due to an imbalance in Vata and Kapha doshas. Imbalance in Kapha can cause cold symptoms, excess Vata can bring chills, lethargy, poor digestion, and body aches.

Honey ginger tea

The anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, and analgesic properties of ginger have an incredible ability to provide relief and reduce the symptoms of viral fever. The antibacterial properties of honey help reduce infection and provide relief from cough. Grate ginger and boil it with one tablespoon of water for three to five minutes, then strain it and add one teaspoon of honey to taste.

Cinnamon

This aromatic spice can provide great relief from throat infections, coughs, and colds. You can drink it with your tea. It will add flavor, aroma, and taste to your drinks while providing health benefits.

Betel leaves

For your information, betel leaves are an ancient and traditional Ayurvedic medicine that can help you get rid of a sore throat. You can alternatively boil betel leaves and basil leaves in water till the ingredients are reduced to almost half. Drink the liquid after straining it. You can season it with honey or salt to taste.

Eat cloves

You can chew them to release the oil in them on occasion. Its numbing effects make them a useful home remedy for sore throats. They are also beneficial for dry cough.

Pippali, or Piper longum, is a herb commonly used in Ayurvedic medicine to treat fever. It has anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, and antiviral properties, which can help reduce the severity of the fever. It is taken as a powder or capsule and can be combined with other herbs and spices to make herbal teas.
