Religion News: Why Ram Navami is celebrated

According to belief, Lord Rama is considered the 7th incarnation of Vishnu. It is mentioned in the scriptures that in the Treta Yuga, the mischief of the Asuras had increased on the earth.

For the destruction of demonic powers on earth, Vishnu ji had incarnated on earth in the form of Shri Ram on the Navami Tithi of Shukla Paksha of Chaitra month.

Since then, every year on the Navami date of Shukla Paksha of Chaitra month, the festival of Ram Navami is celebrated with pomp.

Lord Shri Ram endured immense hardships throughout his life for the establishment of religion and established himself as an ideal hero.

In the most difficult of circumstances, Shriram did not give up religion and did not indulge in unrighteousness.

Due to all these qualities, he got the name of the best man and was called Maryada Purushottam.
