Chinese smartphone maker company Xiaomi launched its budget phone Redmi Y1 and Y1 Lite few days back in India. The cellphone’s sale will get start in India today for the first time. As per the reports, Xiaomi has till now sold more than 1.5 lakh Redmi Y1 and Y1 Lite smartphones. The cellphones will go on sale at 12 afternoon today. The customers will be able to purchase handset from e-commerce website Amazon and Xiaomi’s official website Mi.com.
The company unveiled Redmi Y1 handset in two variants – 3GB RAM and 4GB RAM. The cellphones have a price tag of Rs 8,999 and Rs 10,999 respectively. On the other hand, Redmi Y1 Lite smartphone has 2GB RAM and 16GB internal storage that can be expandable using microSD card. It involves price tag of Rs. 6,999.
Redmi Y1, Y1 Lite features:
Redmi Y1 cellphone has 16-megapixel camera on the front that comes with LED flash to take selfies. It involves Beautify 3.0 mode. On the other hand, Redmi Y1 Lite cellphone involves 5-megapixel sensor on the front. The handsets includes 13-megapixel rear-facing camera that comes with PDAF and LED flash.
Redmi Y1 and Redmi Y1 Lite smartphones boasts 5.5-inch HD (720p) display, 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass 3 on the front. The cellphones feature 3,080mAh battery.
Redmi Y1 is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 435 processor, involves 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage that can be further expandable to up to 128GB using micro-SD card. Redmi Y1 cellphone includres 3GB RAM whereas Lite version involves Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 processor, 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. Redmi Y1 cellphone comes with fingerprint scanner whereas Y1 Lite doesn’t include it.
