Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 smartphone to receive Android Nougat update soon


Chinese smartphone maker company Xiaomi declared on Friday that Redmi Note 4 smartphone will soon get Android Nougat update. The company stated that around 14 new Xiaomi smartphones will be upgraded to Android Nougat.

Earlier the reports revealed that Xiaomi Redmi 4 smartphone will not get Android Nougat but from the e-commerce platform Flipkart, it has been disclosed that Redmi Note 4 will get Android Nougat update soon. The company unveiled this handset in 2017.

Xiaomi Note 4 has a price tag of Rs 9,999 for 2GB RAM + 32GB internal storage, Rs 10,999 for 3GB RAM + 32GB internal storage and Rs 12,999 for 4GB RAM + 64GB internal storage. The customer can purchase handset in Dark Grey, Black and Gold colour options.

Coming to its specifications, Redmi Note 4 features 5.5-inch full HD (1920 x 1080) 2.5D curved glass display, it includes 2.0 GHz Octa-Core Snapdragon 625 processor with Adreno 506 GPU.

The handset has hybrid dual SIM, it runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system. The cellphone includes 4100 mAh battery. The handset boasts fingerprint scanner at the back. It involves 2GB RAM + 32GB internal storage, 3GB RAM + 32GB internal storage and 4GB RAM + 64GB of internal storage variants. The storage of handset can be expandable using microSD card.

Talking about camera details, the handset has 13-megapixel autofocus rear camera that comes with dual tone LED flash, PDAF, f/2.0 aperture. On the front, it involves 5-megapixel camera to take selfies.

Other connectivity options include 4G with VoLTE, Bluetooth 4.2, WiFi (802.11 b/g/n), GPS with AGS/GLONASS and USB Type C. It measures 151 x 76 x 8.35mm and weighs 175 grams.
