Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi recently unveiled the new budget Xiaomi Redmi 4 smartphone in India and will go on sale in the nation on Tuesday. At 12pm IST, the sales start via the Amazon India and the Mi.com. Together the e-commerce sites have listed sale offers. The Redmi 4 priced in India at Rs. 6,999.
The recently introduced smartphone differs from the Redmi 4 model in China – instead, the Indian version is a rebranded Redmi 4X that was unveiled in China former this year. The dissimilarity between the two is that the Redmi 4X is motorized by a Snapdragon 435 SoC, whereas the original Redmi 4 is motorized by a Snapdragon 430 SoC.

The Xiaomi Redmi 4 priced in India at Rs. 6,999 for the 2GB RAM/ 16GB storage space version and goes to Rs. 8,999 for the 3GB RAM/ 32GB storage space version, and Rs.10,999 for the 4GB RAM/ 64GB storage version. Amazon India sale offers comprise 30GB additional data from Reliance Jio, a free 12-month subscription to Hungama Music, a free 3-month subscription to Hungama Play and Rs. 200 Kindle promotion credits, Xiaomi’s own Mi.com store is offering a free 12-month subscription to Hungama Music.
Talking about the features, the dual-SIM (Micro+Nano) Xiaomi Redmi 4 runs MIUI 8 based on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow and sports an all-metal body and fingerprint sensor on the rear panel. It also bears a 5-inch HD (720×1280 pixels) 2.5 D curved glass displays and is motorized by a Snapdragon 435 SoC, with up to 4GB of RAM.
The smartphone sports a 13-megapixel rear camera sensor with f/2.0 aperture, PDAF and LED flash. On the front, it packs a 5-megapixel front camera with f/2.2 aperture and the inbuilt storage space is expandable via microSD card (up to 128GB). Connectivity options comprise 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, GPS/ A-GPS, Micro-USB with OTG, Bluetooth v4.1 and 3.5mm audio jack and measures 139.2×69.6.x8.6mm and weighs 150 grams. It is motorized by a 4100mAh battery.
