Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi announced its newest phablet, the Xiaomi Mi Max 2, will go on sale today via e-commerce online platforms. The phablet was introduced previous month and is priced at Rs 16,999. The phablet will be accessible for purchase on corporation’s official website mi.com, Amazon India, Paytm Mall, and Tata Cliq.
The sale starts today at 10:00am on all four platforms and will be accessible in black color. There are no offers on sale, customers can still get 30GB of additional 4G data on Reliance Jio. The phablet customers will avail 30GB of 4G data on recharge of Rs 309 and above. It also features an all-metal unibody with a fingerprint sensor on the rear panel. It is 7.6mm thin, which makes it quite slim and light for a phablet.
Talking about the features, the Mi Max 2 has a mammoth 6.44-inch full HD (1080p) display and a core of the phablet runs Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 625 processor paired with 4GB RAM. The phablet reaches with 64GB of internal storage space, which can be expanded up to 128GB via a microSD card.
On the software front, the Mi Max 2 runs on Android 7.0 Nougat-based MIUI 8. The Mi Max 2 sports a 12-megapixel rear camera with a Sony IMX386 sensor, dual-LED flash, 1.25-micron pixels and PDAF support. Up front, it houses a 5-megapixel camera for selfies and video calling.
It also packs a massive 5,300mAh battery with support for Quick Charge 3.0 and Parallel Charging and comprises dual-SIM support, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.2 and USB Type-C support.
