World No. 2 Andy Murray will miss rest of the matches in US Open tournament because of the hip injury. In the recent times, Andy Murray couldn’t able to reach to the top of the world rankings as he was defeated by Spain’s champion Rafael Nadal. In the month of June, Switzerland’s player Stan Wawrinka defeated Andy Murray in the five-set French Open. While, Britain’s champ lost the match against American Sam Querrey in the quarter-finals at Wimbledon in the month of July.
“Unluckily, I will not be able to participate in the forthcoming matches in Beijing and Shanghai, almost certainly, the concluding two matches to end the season in Vienna and Paris because of my hip damage which has been disturbing me since few months,” Murray stated.
” After discussing with a several renowned hip experts since few months, I have come up with this decision for my enduring future,” he affirmed.
“I will be starting my 2018 tournament in Brisbane in training for the Australian Open matches.”
Andy Murray was planning to face off Roger Federer in Glasgow in a charity exhibition match that will take place by 2017 end.
During the interview, Andy Murray didn’t cited about the ATP Finals that will be held in London in the month of November. At present, Murray is ninth in the tournament to enter the eight-man tournament. His absence in the matches will decrease his opportunities.
This time, several renowned players involving Wawrinka, Novak Djokovic, Kei Nishikori and Milos Raonic couldn’t able to play in the US Open matches in New York due to injury.
