On the occasion of Daughters day, Ministry of Women and Child Development has come up with a social media campaign today.
Ministry of Women and Child Development will celebrate this week as ‘Daughters Week’, as part of the Beti Bachao Beti Padhao programme.
Users from across the country will share their photographs online with their Daughters, Daughter-in-Law and Granddaughters on the social media sites such as Twitter, Facebook, instagram etc . Also, they will caption the photograph as #BBBPDaughtersWeek.
This initiative has been taken by the Ministry to connect the citizens so that they can celebrate the young women and girls in their lives, and spread the message of valuing the girl child.
The campaign was started by Hon'ble Smt Maneka Sanjay Gandhi. She shared the picture with her daughter-in-law and grand-daughter on social media site twitter.com/manekagandhibjp and ministrywcd as well as the facebook.
The campaign has been named after Ministry’s flagship programme ‘Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao’.
Today, Everyone from the nation over are observing World Daughters' Day by making their little girl in-laws feel special and granddaughters significantly 'more amazing'.
Reacting to the campaign began by the Union Ministry of Women and Child Development (WCD), individuals from varying backgrounds are posting selfies with girls, little girl in-laws and granddaughters.
